Denton Little's Still Not Dead is the second and final book in the Denton Little series. It's out now from Knopf Books for Young Readers (Random House).
If you're wondering what it's about and haven't read Denton Little's Deathdate yet, maybe start by reading about that one.
If you HAVE read Deathdate, well, I think it's fun to go in blind for this one and see where the story goes, but if you MUST, you can check out the official description by clicking on some of the order links below!
I will say that Denton and Paolo's friendship is a huge part of this book. Another big part is suddenly realizing that the government may be shadier than you ever realized and that you have no idea who to trust. (Unexpectedly relevant much?)
I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I hope you will be, too.
Or buy it at your favorite local indie bookstore!
And add it on Goodreads, baby!
"Full of humor, suspense, family drama, romance, car chases, evil government agents, and scientists, this reads almost like a movie script. Denton and his quirky friends are laugh-out-loud funny, even as their riotous adventures raise deeper questions about science, government control, life, and death. While the book can be read as a stand-alone, those who are familiar with the first title will have a greater understanding of the plot. The humor, strong characters, and thoughtful themes make this a strong choice for a wide audience." - School Library Journal
"Denton Little's Still Not Dead is an extremely good book. I love how well it explains what happened in the first book, so you feel like you understand the backstory. The storyline is creative and Lance Rubin executes it perfectly. I especially love how much personality each character has! There are so many plot twists and interesting developments in this story. I can tell it will be a best seller!" - Hannah K., 7th Grade (review posted by TeenBookCon in Houston)
"[Denton and Paolo's] witty interactions are filled with realistically lewd banter that is nicely balanced by their genuine friendship...it is [their] relationship that takes center stage. A sequel that neatly wraps up this funny and original story." - Kirkus Reviews
"Denton was supposed to die the day before this book begins, as readers will recall from Denton Little’s Deathdate, but what he thought would be the last day of his life has turned out to be the start of a covert existence full of illicit shenanigans. The caper aspect of the first installment is heightened in this sequel, but there’s still plenty of focus on family relationships, friendships, and (often awkward) romantic entanglements." - The Horn Book
"Sarcastic banter, chases, and escapes keep the pages turning." - Booklist
